D&G 2010 Spring Collection

There were a lot of ruffles, denim and western looks in D&G 2010 Spring Collection. I found a similar dress on Miss selfridge:

Spring's Florals

You don't have to wait till summer to wear these dresses! They are flirty floral dresses that you can dress up to go out or dress down for everyday use. Wear with high heels and a blazer for a polished look, or with a leather jacket to give it a twist. For a geeky fun look wear it with flats and glasses:

Lee Alexander McQueen 1969-2010

There are no words to describe Alexander McQueen's work, so here is my favourite piece of his 2010 Spring collection, and his outfit that Lady Gaga was wearing in the Bad Romance video. I recommend visiting www.alexandermcqueen.com , particularly the runway archive that demonstrates his amazing designs

Blair's white dress

Leignton Meester was wearing this dress in one of the episodes of Gossip Girl. Even though I couldn't find a similar one (or headband) these two are the closest ones I found, and I really like them anyways:

5 different ways to wear the same dress

This ASOS dress is 36£ and is great for a number of occasions. For a laid-back look, add a denim jacket and popping accessories. If you are looking for a more polished outfit but still want to show some personality, pair it with a boyfriend blazer and girlie chic accessories:

Above, left side:
New Look denim jacket: 25£
Topshop necklace: 7£
ASOS geometric print bangle: 6£

Right side:
New Look boyfriend navy blazer: 20£
Topshop heart necklace: 16£
Topshop heart bracelet: 6£

This combination shows how you can wear the dress in two contrasting ways: with pales, ou with bright colours. Even though usually neutral colours mean a more "out of the radar" look, in this case, the waistcoast and the three bows make the outfit pretty out there. You could wear the first outfit for a date or a night out with friends. The second look in this pictures plays with the different shades of blue and with patterns:

Above, left side:
Topshop waistcoast
ASOS bow bangle: 7£
New Look bag: 10£

Right side:
New Look boyfriend navy blazer: 20£
ASOS bangle: 15£
Topshop bag: 35£

This is a more sophisticated look, but colourful so it is not too dark and "sad":

Topshop necklace: 16£
Topshop Oasis bangles: 14£

Right side:
New Look boyfriend navy blazer: 20£
Topshop bag: 32£

Mix and Match ll

This is a really nice combination for a relaxed look:

Above:
New Look belt:
Topshop tank vest:20£
Topshop hat: 20£
Blanco boots:25.99€
Topshop hotpants: 20£
Topshop bag: 28£

I really like this ASOS' dress, and it looks great paired with tanned accessories. You can also wear it with flats during the day if you are looking for a more casual look

Katy Perry's Minnie Dress

I think this dress does wonders for Katy Perry, and I was thrilled to find one that is very similar, even though it is not as fun (and it is a little expensive for a little black dress). The good news is, it is more wearable than Katy's!

Bright Tribal

Tribal dresses in bright colours were all over Diane Von Furstenberg and Malandrino's 2010 Spring Collections. I thought these trends would be available for us at the highstreet, but I was disappointed to find out that there aren't many tribal or bright dresses YET (I hope). For now, I found two at ASOS that I really like. For this look, pile on big and bright bangles, as seen in DVF

'50s KITSCH

Think polka dots, hearts, nautical, wayfarers and playsuits. This look is mainly based on Luella Bartley's collection, so you can add bright accessories and mix prints:

Mix and Match

I found this bag and this hat at the Topshop website and loved them, mainly because they look great with almost anything. Don't mix it with more prints though, or it will be too much as the bag already makes a statement. Here are some possible combinations:

Above:
Topshop look
T-shirt: 20£
Straw trilby hat: 20£
Peeptoe platform: 70£
70's frayed hotpants: 20£
Peeptoe wedges: 80£

If you have a plain dress and want to make it more original, just add some fun accessories like these shoes and this necklace:

Topshop dress: 35£
Topshop Necklace: 12£
ASOS shoes: 45£

If a floral dress mixed with white and pink accessories is too girlie for you, toughen it up with a leather jacket and black and grey accessories:

Topshop heart ring:8£
Topshop shoes: 70£

Snow White

Marion Cotillard wearing Elie Saab 2009 Fall collection

The main colour in CHANEL's 2010 Spring Show was white, and most celebrities were spotted wearing this colour on Award Shows such as the Golden Globes, the Grammys and the SAG Awards. If, like me, you can not afford to buy the designer looks, here are some suggestions for you:
